I just responded to an email from a friend. I had wanted to just respond straight to the point, but as soon as I started typing, a part of me reminded me to do the usual greetings and ask how the person was doing first.
Why?
It was a lesson I learned while reading Jon Maxwell. He wrote that as a leader people donβt care how much you know unless they know how much you care. I will never forget that lesson. I always try to do that. Today was one of those lucky days.
Thatβs what reading does to you! It makes you a better person, a better leader.
