Read These Books In Your 20s
You are young, you are full of energy; stay up late reading the best books in your youth. You won't regret it.
I have a strongly opinionated advice for you.
When you are in your 20s, read all the books of the following fellas;
1. Walter Isaacson
2. Robert Caro
3. Will Durant
4. CS Lewis
You may not finish all of them in your 20s, but it will be crucial that you begin in your 20s.
They are authors of many books, and for the first three, they are authors of very large books.
Robert Caro will help you understand power and politics in a profound way. Walter Isaacson will get you wet with the desire to create, to innovate, to change the world. Will Durant will give you a good grasp of human history, philosophy, and all the basic foundational ideas that drive human history. Lastly, CS Lewis will make you a better human. You may disagree with him, but you will learn from him.
My regret is that I didnβt start reading Robert Caro and Will Durant in my 20s, it is appearing difficult to catch up at this point. Robert Caroβs book, The Power Broker, is up to 1,500 pages! Bigger than a dictionary. His other books are 800+ pages on average.
I read all of Walter Isaacson in my 20s and am currently completing his most recent book on Elon Musk.
Read these in your 20s. Make it a challenge.
I have an older friend who once told me, "You are young, you are full of energy; stay up late reading the best books in your youth. You won't regret it". I pass on that advice to you.
