Last week, I reviewed this book at the Mentoring Session. Like I stated there, the most interesting thing about this book for me is the whole idea that one can lead from anywhere. Nigeria is faced with a myriad of problems. Everywhere Nigerians meet, they are united by their railings against the problems we face. Everywhere we turn to, there is a problem we must face. In the church, in the government, in business, in the community, in the schools, etc.
A major challenge has been that many young people have been blocked from leading. We need to remember that Nigeria is a deeply patriarchal society where hierarchy, age, tribe, gender could be the only role that determines your place. As young people, we are often faced with these barriers. However, this book has a different message. It has a template for how to navigate this thing.
The central message is that you do not have to be limited by any of these barriers. You can lead irrespective of these challenges. You can make a difference. You can change your church, your organization, your community, and your country.
If you are a young person in Nigeria trying to make a difference, this is a book for you.
If you are a young person trying to make your voice heard, this is a book for you.
And if you are a young person who is unsatisfied with the state of things, this is a book for you.
We need you to lead us, before that, you need to be ready. This book will help you prepare. It was Abraham Lincoln who said “I will study and prepare, someday my chance will come”. He did the study and someday his chance came, and he did not disappoint history. Prepare, read this. You can purchase it on Amazon or paying into the account
